Sherry Johnson
President & Owner
Sherry Johnson has over 25 years experience in the staffing industry and has successfully grown and managed one of the biggest staffing companies in the world. She has provided personnel for all levels of private industry, corporations and government. Sherry is very well aware of the standards and practices necessary to maintain and grow a company with very high ethics, as she has worked for an ISO company for many years.
Sherry started her company in September 2004 to help grow small and medium sized businesses with staff that are immediately productive. She is a member of Women in Business at The Mount, a Chamber of Commerce member, the Ambassadors Committee and a member of several local Business Networking groups. Sherry is also a member of the association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services organization which observes the highest principles of honesty and fair practice in their relationships with clients and employers. Recently, Strictly Staffing Inc. has become an active investor in the Greater Halifax Partnership. Her key to success is listening to the client and never compromising on work ethics and quality.
Sherry is a local resident and grew up in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay. She now resides in Timberlea with her husband, two children and her Golden Retriever Jesi!

Alex Tessier
Alex is a recent recipient of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a Certificate in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Saint Mary’s University’s Sobeys School of Business. He has always been very hands on and is enjoying the opportunity to finally apply the HR concepts he has learned to real world business.
Alex’s background includes working for non-profits, both in a volunteer and in a management role. He can be found working with Special Olympics or passing on his expertise gained as a player, to Halifax’s future rugby and lacrosse stars. Alex’s forté is developing strategies to find the best possible employees who are immediately productive and can add growth to their bottom line. His other passion includes assuming the role of our resident IT specialist and database guru always looking for new ways to improve search results.
Alex currently lives in Halifax’s South End where he spends most of his time either preparing for, or playing rugby with Enfield RFC team mates.
